INFO Karsten is a GIS professional with a background in Geography and Soil Science. His work mostly focuses on GIS in the context of natural resources, sustainable development and social justice. In 2007 he started his own company, Terra GIS based in Seattle. He has more than 19 years of expertise in environmental evaluation and GIS. His background is in Geography and Soil Science and holds a Diploma from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and a Master’s Degree from UC Berkeley. His previous work included positions as Environmental Scientist, GIS Analyst and Programmer, and Project Coordinator.
