FOSS4G-BE 2016

Infrastructure, venue

Gaël has received the confirmation from his management. The FOSS4G-BE 2016 will therefore be held at BEL. It is also confirmed that we will get some extra space (next to the area where the sponsor village was last year).

Call for Papers

We can now prepare the call for papers. The idea is to adapt the document we made last year. If we decide to organise workshops, we'll send a seperate call. There will also be a meeting on May 19th with the people from OSM. This will be the occasion to discuss topics that may be presented during the FOSS4G-BE 2016.

Call for Sponsors

Since we have some extra space, Gaël suggests that we can offer a "meeting place" as an extra for important sponsors (platinum, gold ?). This "meeting places" would be made of panels and would be situated close to the booth. This will be discussed on the mailing list.

Schedule

We will fist send an email announcing our FOSS4G-BE 2016. Afterwards, we will then send the call for papers and call for sponsors ASAP (May 25th ? - definitely before June 1st).

Translations

We all confirm that FR - NL translations are needed. If we have a side track in English, it is not needed to have translation to English.

Collaborations

The meeting beetween SOTM and FOSS4G.be will happen on May 19th 19:00.

Website

Johan will send an email about how we can update the website. Presentations from last year FOSS4G should also be online. We can also add the pictures from Flickr and the video.
