I am an historian who co-directs ''Montréal, l'avenir du passé'' ''Italic text''(MAP) which is an H-GIS research infrastructure. It consists of six layers showing all buildings in the city of Montreal in 1825, 1846, 1880, 1912, 1949 and 2000. Eight applications using the 19th century layers were released in 2010 and are available for download from our web site. [http://www.mun.ca/mapm] We are currently working on the turn of the century and hope to have a second cd ready by the fall of 2014.

At present our materials are not one the web, we only use our site to download standalone applications, shape files and databases. We would like to move at least some of layers to the web, but are uncertain of how to proceed.
