He has been responsible for funding small enhancements to Postgis, GDAL, Geoserver and Geonetwork and the development of several QGIS plugins, and is also involved with GMT (Generic Mapping Tools - a long time FOSS mapping and analytical tool outside of the OSGeo Foundation)
