Speaker: Abraham Poorazizi Talk: "Building a Modern Geospatial IoT Platform at scale using Free and Open-source Software, Open Standards, and Open Data."

We had ~20 folks out to the first meeting - through a pretty decent snowstorm - to hear Abraham speak. We had some good discussion on what people were looking for in an open source geo community, locally. Lots of suggesetions from code-sprints to workshops, etc... Most were in favor of an informal feel to the meetings but there was also discussion of a more formal structure.

The meeting was hosted by Scott McHale. No formal minutes were taken. The objectives and other points discussed have been added as part of the local chapter wiki.
