As a PhD graduate with honours from the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin) in geography and environment management highly oriented into GIS, spatial analysis and environment modelling, I have been practising GIS since 2006. After my PhD, I have worked in this area in different institutions like the RECTAS and Université Libre de Bruxelles as lecturer or visiting lecturer. Presently working as lecturer in the field of environment and GIS. I've been a user of OSGEO software since 2009. I mainly use GRASS GIS and QGIS, though i've started learning Geoserver recently. I also have knowledge of PostGIS and PostGreSQL but i am not too much into databases. I plan to create a local chapter of OSGEO in Benin, gathering other OSGEO software users.
