OSGeo Experience and Roles:
Evelyn is a Professor in Geoinformatics and the lead of the Landscape Geoinformatics Lab at the University of Tartu. She is also in Estonian Geoinformatics Society board. She was in the organising committee of FOSS4G Europe in Tartu, Estonia.
Evelyn is a geospatial scientist whose primary research interests lie in large-scale geospatial data management, data quality, and environmental modelling. Her last five-year research focus has been on machine learning based predictive spatial modelling of environmental variables. She uses open-source solutions in her research and is also teaching several core courses on geospatial analysis with open-source tools at the University of Tartu.
She has completed the #30DayMapChallenge three times utilising open-source tools. Some of the examples are here.
