**Since restarting the chapter in 2019, this group, for me, has been about simply holding open a space where people in the Open Source and Geospatial community could engage as frictionlessly as possible. My goals for the meeting were that people would share problems and solutions. If the problems were geospatial, even better. If the solutions were open source, even better still.

**Those goals remain, but there are some other things I will be striving to accomplish in addition to those, including:
 +
***Forming a larger and more formal team - it's really been just Stefan and I - to drive the chapter/meetups
 +
***More formal engagement with potential partner groups
 +
***Increased OSGeo membership and engagement in Alberta (and, elsewhere, of course)

**There's no specific ask of this group at the moment. I will be polling the Meetup.com membership (I'll also look to extend that polling to industry folks and those NOT using open source) more formally in the coming months to get a much deeper understanding of what they're trying to do in GIS generally (personally and professionally) and what they feel the community here in Alberta is needing most. From there, I hope to help this group design itself to play the greatest part possible in providing that.
