Anybody who would like to get involved, please feel free.  We need all the help we can get.  At this stage (Sept 07) it looks like bids will open some time in October, and close in November.  We should know by the end of November at the latest who will be hosting.

FOSS4G 2009

Incorporation

  1. In the next month or so we need to get incorporated, probably in Western Australia.

The WA specific requirements can be summarized as: Legislation: WA incorporation legislation

Incorporation Guidelines

  • More than 5 members
  • Intention to apply for incorporation must be advertised between one and three months before the application is made.
  • No residency requirements
  • Keep accounts in such a state that they can be audited and presented to members at AGM
  • Register of members to be kept with residential or postal address.
