This page evaluates Drupal 8 as a possible migration path for the main OSGeo site.
By building a site that only uses Drupal core modules we would vastly simplify updates and upgrades. Drupal 8 includes Views in core, and the focus of the release is on multilingual support which may fully resolve issues like WebCom #202
