GeoBSD is a BSD based operating system designed to be a fully functional UNIX GIS Workstation. The main objectives are; speed and maximum open-source GIS integration. As far as speed is concerned, the FreeBSD operating system provide a good base that delivers both a rock solid foundation and performance.
