One of the core principles of OSGeo-Live is to help new users find the best geospatial open source applications which are backed by established and robust communities.

As such, it is important for us as a community to continue to review our list of OSGeo-Live applications to ensure the projects are still valuable and are being maintained.

With the upcoming OSGeo-Live 9.5 release, we will make OpenHub metrics very visible, adding a "Metrics" tab from the main OSGeo-Live page, which links to our existing OSGeo-Live OpenHub summaries.
  
Strong indicators for project health are provided by OpenHub project metrics as aggregated at http://live.osgeo.org/en/metrics.html .

Most OSGeo-Live projects have very compelling metrics, demonstrating an established and active development community. However, there are a few projects where OpenHub metrics are dated, incorrectly suggesting a lack of project activity. As such, I encourage all projects to review their OpenHub metrics before the next OSGeo-Live release, and update where appropriate.
  
For the upcoming OSGeo-Live 9.5 release, I propose that we make this metrics page obvious to find, by providing a direct link to it from the OSGeo-Live toolbar.

With the upcoming OSGeo-Live 9.5 release, we will make OpenHub metrics very visible, adding a "Metrics" tab from the main OSGeo-Live page, which links to our existing OSGeo-Live OpenHub summaries.
