She has worked with a number of conferences (FOSS4G, FOSS4G-NA, SOTM, SOTM-US) to help design and/or execute travel grants and/or scholarships to help people attend events that otherwise may have been out of reach. She served on the LOC for FOSS4G 2014 and has been involved in the Code of Conduct committee since its inception in 2015.</br></br>Kristin works with faculty and students at Reed College on all-things-analytical, focusing on statistical + computational software, research design, and data management and presentation.
