Some notes for the current logo / branding effort we're doing...

  • In usage guidelines, we say you must adhere to our color scheme. If your printer/thread-dye/crayola-box doesn't support the exact Pantone colors we specify, you should just do your best (or ask us for help).
  • We may/will need the following "derivations" of the base logo (compass + "OSGeo" text, no tagline):
    • "OSGeo Project" and maybe "OSGeo Project-in-incubation"
    • "OSGeo Sponsor" -- silver, gold, platinum editions
    • "OSGeo Member" and "OSGeo Charter Member"
    • MAYBE: "I Support OSGeo" (for any individual's website)
    • MAYBE: "Powered by OSGeo" / "OSGeo Inside" (for products which use OSGeo internally)
    • "Donate here!" button
    • MAYBE: "OSGeo Donor" (for small individual donations)
    • just the compass, on black (for buttons, as per JasonB)
  • Yes, we will be doing business cards. (We'll need to figure out how to allocate / budget for the printing of these, odds are good everyone will want one...)
