-I'm fairly new to OSGeo.  I'm currently a Ph.D. student in the [http://www.geog.auckland.ac.nz/ School of Geography, Geology and Environmental Science] at the [http://www.auckland.ac.nz/ University of Auckland]. My interests here are in the intersection of cyber-technology as it applies to knowledge discovery, scientific methodology, and data representation in the geosciences.
-In a previous life, I worked for the [http://www.esri.com devil] :-)~   It was actually while working there I was first introduced to OSGeo, the [http://www.opengeospatial.org/ Open Geospatial Consortium], and the idea (ideals) behind Free and Open Source Software.
-I'm trying to figure out where I can fit in, and how I can best contribute.
