I`m a Geography professional working at the EDINA national data centre based at Edinburgh University. I`m a strong advocate of PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Python and QGIS as a path to geospatial zen. I still consider ArcGIS as a valued friend though sometimes our relationship is strained :).
