-I work as a GIS consultant with a special focus on Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI), Open Source GIS and Remote Sensing. I am a member of the Project Steering Committee of the [http://www.deegree.org deegree project] (and one of the original founders of the project). Also, I am the current editor of [http://www.opengeospatial.org OGC]'s [http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/sld Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD)] and [http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/symbol Symbology Encoding (SE)] standards and was involved in a number of other OGC standardisation actitivies.
