Community Sprint

This year, we are following the OSGeo tradition of hosting a community sprint right after FOSS4G 2026.

Participation is free of charge and anyone involved or interested in getting involved in OSGeo community projects is welcome.

Furthermore, community sprints provide an opportunity for those with little experience in FOSS4G community activities, or those who want to start community activities, to learn how to conduct community activities from more experienced members.

You can choose to contribute to one or more projects. The sky is the limit. There’s always plenty to do – it’s not all about programming. Translation, documentation, feedback, discussions, and testing are very important for projects! Conference registration is not a prerequisite for participation in community sprint.

When

The community sprint will be held Friday, September 4, 2026

  • 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
