| Personal Description : | I'm a Web Developer from Brussels, Belgium.
I've been working the last 20 years developing web applications and services using and displaying geographical data. It quickly became clear that the way to go was to use open-source tools: MapServer, Leaflet, OpenLayers, GDAL, ... Since I'm a developer using open-source tools, it's always rewarding to be able to contribute back to the project when encountering some issues (I've contributed to Leaflet and OpenLayers) but also being able to extend the open-source ecosystem around the tools you're using (I've developed a PHP Library to write MapServer Mapfile). I also use OpenStreetMap since 2012 and am currently part of the board of OpenStreetMap Belgium, the Belgian Local Chapter of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. |
