|Info=Dr. Candan Eylül Kilsedar obtained her BSc degree in computer science and engineering at Sabancı University in 2012. She obtained her MSc degree in informatics engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2014. She worked as a research fellow at Politecnico di Milano from January 2015 to June 2020 and during this time she worked on various projects related to topics such as cultural heritage, migration, 3D visualization of urban environment, land use and land cover, ground deformation and mobility. She obtained her PhD degree with honours from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2020. Her primary research interest is the use of free and open source technologies for the visualization and processing of geospatial data on the Web. Some of her projects can be found at https://github.com/kilsedar. She is a charter member of OSGeo. She served as the president of PoliMappers from November 2016 to December 2018 and later served as one of its faculty advisors until June 2020.
