The Open Source Geospatial Lab (OSGL) is an idea for developing an international network of academic/research institutions committed to promoting open source geospatial concepts. OSGL's are, optionally, built into official OSGeo Memorandum of Understandings (MoU). Building on the Academic Network model, each OSGL will be different but have common core features relating to OSGeo:
