Main idea I had about OSGeo representation at other events: I hear about from time to time various conferences in USA especially where, if not practical for OSGeo to have formal exhibitor presence, then if someone can attend to spread the message informally and gather info on whatever community sits behind the event and what their receptivity to open source is or could be. For example, was told recently of American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco in Dec 2011, apparently a huge event. | ||

Hi Reholl,
I can see that you have added bullet points to the AGMN agenda - thanks for this! In one of the last meetings we have decided to change the content of the AGM to be more member-focused and have local chapters give lightning talk type presentations (separate mail in the make). But I liked your input and moved it to the agenda of the board of directors who will meet two days later. I hope this is OK for you. If not please let me know. Any input is welcome (and feel free to delete this comment after reading).
Thanks, --Arnulf Christl 03:27, 5 September 2011 (PDT)
Arnulf, Yes, that's fine moving those items to the directors' meeting, probably better there actually.
