- Yes, selected for "founding project" incubation by the OSGeo board.
- PSC Established?
- Partially - Frank Warmerdam (Chair), Andrey Kiselev, Daniel Morissette and Howard Butler selected as initial PSC. No "RFC-1" or other working document yet drafted. No PSC meetingings held yet. Frank Warmerdam is PSC rep for incubation.
- Hosted code in subversion?
- No, not current plans to migrate code to OSGeo subversion repository. cvs.maptools.org repository is working fine.
- Downloadable Binaries?
- Yes, as part of FWTools releases (and various other packages for various platforms).
- Documentation Online?
- Yes, at http://www.gdal.org/
- Developers online?
- Yes, approximately 27 committers are established.
- Public invited to participate?
- yes, for many years.
