background and interests
Kristin works with faculty and students at Reed College on all-things-analytical, focusing on statistical + computational software, research design, and data management and presentation. She is also the main geospatial + mapping resource on campus, where she works to integrate different types of geo/spatial work across the curriculum. Kristin is particularly interested in the intersection of GIS and teaching/education and increasing access to all-things-geospatial across a wide group of users. She holds a M.Sc. in Fisheries & Wildlife (EEBB track) from Michigan State University, a B.A. in Biology/Ecology from the University of Montana, and will complete Portland State's Graduate Certificate program in GIS in December 2014. Outside of work, you can probably find her growing or making good food, brewing beer, reading something interesting, or running/riding around outside.
