Educational Content Inventory
Please provide information on your educational content, use the searchable Educational Content Inventory Catalogue.
Important note: None of the content is considered "official" OSGeo material, and none of it has been peer-reviewed by anyone affiliated with OSGeo. At this juncture, we are simply trying to inventory educational material that is available through our participant community. Anything of interest to the OSGeo education community is welcome.

- COST proposal
- (from Ari's email) The proposal needs a right scope and domain. Domain could be "Earth System Science and Environmental Management" (I could find one GIS related action) or "Information and Communication Technologies" (I could not find any actions directly related to FOSS - which may tell something or not). The proposal needs a main objective. The objective could be for example "enhance academic relevance/use/usability of existing free and open source geospatial (FOSS4G) software and develop methods and workflows for increasing the impact and exploitation of FOSS4G emerging from academia". That could perhaps have the right span.
- There's "Jornades de SIG Lliure" in Girona March 21-23 and, although it is in Spanish and Catalan, perhaps we could use that for a workshop and meeting(?). http://www.sigte.udg.edu/jornadassiglibre/

- 12/9 Virtual meeting topics for discussion
- EU-COST edu workshop idea initiated by Ari. Goals for the workshop? Efforts to secure funding? Location/timing? People leading the effort and next steps. [Discussion lead: Ari]
- US edu workshop (possibly in May?). Phil Davis and others. Goals for this workshop? Efforts to secure funding? Location/timing? People leading the effort and next steps. [Discussion lead: Phil]
- Academic Track planning for FOSS4G 2012. [Discussion lead Suchith]
- Discussion of group governance and the proposal to have "regional OSGeo edu co-chairs" who would make up an "OSGeo edu steering committee." Goal here is to come to some consensus on new governance design and whether we need some kind of election or just embrace volunteers for regional positions and then take the idea back to this list for a vote.
- Establish two regular meeting times (Western, Eastern hemisphere?) that somehow can handle our issue of members from all over the world that we all can block off in our calendars. E.g., Second Fridays of every month.
- Conversion or transfer of our educational inventory system to the platform hosted by Suchith's organization. [Led by Charlie, time permitting]
