Born in 1966 in Okayama prefecture, Japan. Graduate the Okayama prefectural Tamashima High school in 1985. Graduate the Okayama University in 1989. Get a doctor degree from the Graduate school of Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University in 1993 (Doctor of Science). Work on the Department of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Science, Okayama University as an assistant professor.
