Website Committee
This is the main wiki page for the OSGeo Website Committee. Started as per the Web Site Committee Motion approved by the board at the First Board Meeting.
Members in the committee are listed on the web committee project page on osgeo.org
Responsibilities
The web site committee has responsibilities to:
- maintain and update the foundation web site.
- recommend appropriate website technologies (ie. wiki)
- decide and implement a site wide style guideline.
- support foundation projects in use of portal technologies and common style.
- adding and removing committee members as needed.
- report back to the board (via Chair) to the board monthly on activities and issues.
- pursue translation of portions of the site into other languages.

Current Work
- Welcome Message This is the first welcome page seen by a new user. This needs to be written up. It should be short and sweet because users really only see it once.
- Logo Contest Parameters for the contest and where we store the results. The contest should be done ASAP as this affects the look of the site. We can get help from CollabNet's branding people to flow from the logo into the style of the site.
- Membership nominations needs to have an announcement and link to the nominees list.
- SSL Certificate is now installed
