The California Chapter currently has two (2) marketing and outreach efforts. The first is a list of speakers that will speak about GIS or open source geospatial software at your event. The second is our annual Open Geospatial Data Award.
Chapter Outreach Speakers
You can find information about California Chapter members that are willing to serve as volunteer speakers at local events on the Outreach Speakers page. This page includes a short biography for each speaker and a list of topics they would be willing to present.
Open Geospatial Data Award
The California Chapter awards the Open Geospatial Data Award to one organization each year that promotes open access to quality geospatial data. You can learn more on our wiki page for the Open Geospatial Data Award.
