Key Accomplishments

  • the MapFish community elected its PSC
  • two releases came out, 1.1 and 1.2
  • a new web site and a new documentation were developed
  • a MapFish workshop was given at FOSS4G2009
  • a MapFish BOF happened at FOSS4G2009
  • the MapFish print module is now available as a GeoServer plugin
  • client components have been moved to GeoExt
  • Studio was developed

Areas for Improvement

  • the PSC needs to discuss a number of things: MapFish Client versus GeoExt, Studio (is it part of MapFish?), licensing
  • integrate GeoAlchemy library into MapFish

Outlook for 2010

  • continue with the development of GeoExt and GeoExt.ux (the GeoExt user extensions)
