My mission is to communicate complex concepts in clear and creative ways. Geographic information systems (GIS) have been my tool for creatively communicating spatial phenomena with colleagues and clients to improve their strategic decision-making processes.

The U.S. Fulbright Scholar program, the Peace Corps Mexico's Natural Resource Management program, and a Master’s degree and teaching assistantship at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry have given me a critical understanding of GIS approaches, tools, and technologies for answering geospatial questions. These experiences prepared me for teaching courses in geographic information technologies, land use planning, and environmental policy.

Currently, I am a Planner with the NYS Tug Hill Commission working on comprehensive plan updates, mapping projects, and draft local laws.
