I recently retired when I turned 62 from my day job as an operations forester at Michigan State University's Forestry research center. I know a little about using GIS, and want to learn to use QGIS to develop a comprehensive demonstration of a permaculture landscape design on my 21-acre homestead. I hope to develop a small food forest for foraging and a small nursery operation, and a small garden to market operation. I would like to use GIS to manage the crop rotations.
