I'm a multidisciplinary geoscientist with expertise in soils, geology, glacial geomorphology, hydrology, ecology, mapping, technical writing, SfM Photogrammetry, LiDAR, and Geographic Information Systems. I hold an M.S. in Geography from Michigan State University, and have spent the last 5 years working as a soil scientist with the US Forest Service. Recently, I started my own mapping business (Contour Geographic) that focuses on natural resource inventory and mapping for organizations that manage land. My independent mapping pursuits naturally lead me toward free and open source GIS tools, though I still occasionally use ESRI software too.
