Short Bio

After attaining an MSc in GIS at Leeds, he began his career in the Northern Ireland Regional Research Laboratory and subsequently worked at the NI Cancer Registry where he was instrumental in compiling the provinces first ever report on cancer incidence. From there he moved into the local government sector both in Scotland and Northern Ireland before returning to a role within the tertiary education sector.

He has formerly been GIS manager at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Senior GI Analyst at Forth Valley GIS. His current role also entails service management and business development activities for the establishment and promulgation of an academic SDI.

He is presently involved in a range of cutting-edge projects within the tertiary education sector and in Europe.
