• I am a GIS Analyst for Howard County, Maryland, USA.
• I've been working in the GIS field since 2005.
  

Interests

• Howard County is one of the few jurisdictions in Maryland that takes open source seriously.  We have made several mapping applications using GeoExt and a few other applications using OpenLayers and JQuery alone.  We have an instance of GeoServer running in the background to provide web services.
• We also have an interest in Quantum GIS although I think it will have to mature a bit more (user interface-wise) before we introduce it to our users.
• While my programming skills aren't that advanced, I am more of an integrator of technologies...actually using what you've all written to serve our community.  So, I can create an OpenLayers page of decent sophistication, but I don't feel that I have the skills to actually contribute code back to various projects.
