OSGeo European Local Chapter legal entity

• should we consider an association - as the legal form of organisation - with paying members, example: https://www.python.org/psf/membership-faq/#id2
• one of the main reasons to have an European Local Chapter is to have one discussion partner for European institutions, such as EC.
• we need to prepare a draft for the bylaws of the Local Chapter
• There is no hierarchy in the OSGeo Local Chapters with respect to OSGeo. What should be the relation between European LC and OSGeo and the LC in Europe?
• The European LC would be a support system for the national
• Language of the bylaws? what can be the nationality of the board members?
• How to move money between European LC and other LC in Europe and OSGeo inter, are there any taxes?
• Can the European LC sell things, such as T-shirts?
• ACTION: Jeroen to start the bylaws and share with the group to contribuite.

Call for the FOSS4G Europe

• the call for venue is drafted and it will be published in the next days;
• primary schedule for a LOC: call open in September, decision made in October;
• suggestion: the chair of current FOSS4G Europe must find the next European LOC.
