About C++ the following is written: GUI is not portable to various OS, so it would most likely need to be developed separately for several different OS's This is definately not true. You just have to choose a library which is available on every platform. Qt is one example for these. We can provide our program for Linux, Windows & Mac without a single change in the GUI code. I think our only operating system #ifdef is in some directory code. --Bholst 04:41, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
