The SDIC is a vehicle through which the free and open source software community can respond to the non-public parts of the consultation into the INSPIRE SDI Directive in Europe.

Responses
Metadata
This was the first IR draft to be made public. The response process here consisted of one page of initial notes on the draft - Reading the INSPIRE Metadata Draft - and another of the detailed responses to be cut-and-pasted into the Excel spreadsheet templates which the INSPIRE process insists on the use of.
While doing it this way made initial thoughts easy to write, the process of filling in the spreadsheet afterwards was a lot of busywork. I think the best thing to do next time round is just one page where comments are clearly annotated with the Article number / Annex number to which they apply so it is easy to paste the whole lot into one spreadsheet right before the end of the consultation.
