  1. Travel and Presentation Prep for 1Spatial conference
    1. Also speaking at OSGeo UK Meetup May 2008
    2. And a lecture at the University of Edinburgh
  2. Migrating our banking to a more accessible solution
    1. Reviewed and chose a local option, account set up complete today
    2. Then start migrating services and funds over
  3. Various discussions and emails re: people interested in OSGeo and how to help get involved
  4. Handling contributor agreements for FDO and Geotools.
  5. Helped coordinate some Marketing support for CGS 2008 event
  6. Discussed sponsorship with a few contacts
  7. Reviewed 2007 expenses
  8. Re-organised document files
  9. Submitted Delaware State tax filings
  10. Invoicing for osbootcamp 6

Simmering on the Back Burner

  1. Final publishing of the Annual Report for 2007
    1. awaiting 4 remaining sub reports to be submitted
    2. general review complete
  2. Coordinating annual elections process - charter members & board
    1. Starting to layout this years' process
  3. Overseeing 501c3 application process
    1. Requesting updates from contractor
    2. Provided all needed information
  4. Clarifying our marketing message for sponsors
  5. Identifying and contacting potential sponsors
  6. Paying/sending invoices, tracking financial books, building statements
    1. Manage financials for OSBOOTCAMP 6/ GEOCAMP2008 in June
  7. General email/phone communications

From the Recent Past

  • Compiled annual reports, wrote my part of the content, run through editorial checks
  • Attended Open Web Vancouver and met several potential partners for events, marketing, sponsorships
  • Paid outstanding invoices, sent outstanding invoices for new sponsors
  • Connecting community with committees: e.g. translator volunteers, event owners
