Mission Statement / Chapter Objetives
We are still working on a detailed mission statement. However we identified on our last meeting the following common points of interest:
- (free) Alberta geodata
- free GIS tools in Oil & Gas & Energy
- GIS software in general

Calgary
A group of interested FOSGIS users did meet the first time in April 29th 2010 in Calgary to get to know each other and talk about forming a local OSGeo chapter. The Group included users and developers with a business and university background. For the notes of our meeting please see: Calgary IG.
The next meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the next month, i.e. 6th July 2010. The meeting will take place at the University of Calgary. For more info check the postings on the OSGeo Alberta email list.
