The OSGeo Board is pleased to announce that it has approved the application by the deegree project to enter the incubation process. Incubation is a stepping stone to becoming a full fledged OSGeo project.
deegree is a Java Framework offering the main building blocks for Spatial Data Infrastructures. Its entire architecture is developed using standards of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and ISO/TC 211 (ISO Technical Committee 211 -- Geographic Information/Geomatics).
deegree implements standards including WMS, WFS, WCS, CSW, SOS, WTS/WPVS and WPS. deegree iGeoPortal standard and portlet edition are the browser-based clients for the mentioned OGC WebServices. deeJUMP provides a SDI-enabled Desktop-GIS.

Le Bureau de l'OSGeo a le plaisir d'annoncer qu'il a approuvé l'entrée en incubation du projet deegree. L'entrée en phase d'incubation est le premier pas à faire pour devenir un projet OSGeo.
deegree est un Framework Java proposant les briques principales d'une Infrastructure de Données Spatiales (IDS). The Free Software project deegree has released six Demo Releases for free download. The Demo Releases are easy to install software packages and include the official Reference Implementations of the OGC for WMS 1.3, WMS 1.1.1 and WCS 1.0.0.
OGC Reference Implementation are 100 % standards-compliant implementations. They are developed with corresponding test suites and serve to "test the tests" as well as to give other implementors insight into a fully compliant software package.
The 2.1 Demo Releases of deegree include besides WMS and WCS also a WFS, a Catalogue Service, a Web Perspective View Service for display of 3D geodata and iGeoPortal, a web-based client for OGC Web Services. All six Demo Releases are delivered as so called WAR archives, which can be deployed inside a servlet engine like Apache Tomcat within seconds.

Le projet libre deegree a sorti six versions de démo en téléchargement libre. Les versions de démo sont simples à installer et incluent l'Implémentation de References OGC officielles pour le WMS 1.3, le WMS 1.1.1 et pour le WCS 1.0.0.
L'Implémentation de Références OGC respecte pleinement les standards. Elle est développée en lien avec les suites de test correspondantes et servent de "test aux tests" et donne à d'autres un aperçu sur un logiciel entièrement compatible.
Les versions de 2.1 des démos de deegree incluent, en plus du WMS et du WCS, le WFS, un Service de Catalogue, un Service Web de Visualisation en Perspective pour afficher des données géographique 3D et l'iGeoPortal, un client web pour les Services Web de l'OGC. Chacune des six versions de Démo est fournie dans une archive WAR qui peut être déployée dans un conteneur de servlet tel qu'Apache Tomcat en quelques secondes.
