MoU purpose discussion
- Perhaps better define an MOU template?
- We should consider not signing MOUs just for promotion purposes
- ACTION: Codrina to draft the MOU template (Done)
Elections status report
- Only 4 nominations for board elections
- We need to make board role more clear to our members (what is expected from board members)
- ACTION: Adam to write a summary of the meeting and send out to mailing list or Twitter. (Done)
- Perhaps board meetings on Youtube?
FOSS4G updates
- Pretix, its hard to setup a paypal here in Kosovo, so for wiretransfer we are ok, but we need a paypal account so people could pay directly with credit or debit card. Is it possible to use OSGEO Paypal for FOSS4G ticket processing? Or can OSGEO setup one for FOSS4G needs?
- ACTION: Ask Michael about Paypal usage details (Done)
- Our Ministry of Economy is very interested in supporting us with FOSS4G. They are willing to pay directly most of our expenses (around 40,000 EUR). Is it ok if we place them as Co-Organizer of FOSS4G? The reason why they don't want to affiliate as sponsor, supporter or any other title, it is because for them it is easy to cover expenses for something that they are involved as organizer, procedures will be way easier and less complicated bureaucratic steps.
- Discussion about how to add the ministry as Organizing/Strategic Partner or something similar.
- Can we add a new organizer after the FOSS4G bid?
- E-mail to conference committee?
- Valmir to ask the ministry about the role name: strategic partner or organizing partner (with a deadline)
OSGeo Oceania TGP Support Request
- https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/board/2022-November/013164.html
- Board to set a deadline for the decision?
- The committee has the mandate to take the decision, we have to be careful not to intervene in the committee’s role.
- ACTION: Adam to ask for the committee’s response. (Done)
