Arnulf Christl is member of the Board of Directors and contributes to the Promotion and Visibility Committee (VisCom). He is member of the Incubation Committee, Mapbender PSC and helps organizing FOSSGIS 2007. He works with the WhereGroup.

Tasks

He has been appointed as Event List Editor by VisCom which means that he adds [[Category:Events]] Tags to pages. Contact him if you have questions regarding OSGeo involvement in events. As of February 2007 the OSGeo operates an event calendar which is presented prominently on the front page of the new CMS. To get your event promoted to the OSGeo calender it might be helpful to read through Event Management. Keep in mind that this page is focused on big events with lots of risk. It should not put you off doing smaller things a lot less formal.

The Intergeo 2006 and corresponding report is an example of how large events can be organized and what the role of the OSgeo Foundation can be.

Please contact VisCom if you are interested in joining efforts.
