FOSS4G2008 Run of Events

This is the main page for holding information for discussion on the programme of the FOSS4G 2008 conference at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, Western Cape Province, South Africa, September 29 to October 3, 2008.

It is also the Master 'Run-of-events' description that will be used to run and announce all the detailed items during each day, other than the detailed technical programme, which is at http://tinyurl.com/foss4g2008schedule and http://conference.osgeo.org/index.php/foss4g/2008/schedConf/schedule

(Carrin)I think that someone at the dinner will need to make an announcement about what the evening entails, if its buffet, where the veg food is, what the face painting means, a bit about the restaurant name etc. that could by you with the restaurant owner.

  • 18:00: All meet at CTICC. Buses leave promptly at 18h00.
  • Reception (Gala dinner) @ Moyo on Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. Price includes transport.
  • Buses will return at 22h00, dropping people off at preferred hotels and CTICC
  • Continue the party at pub near CTICC / Waterfront?
  • for those not attending the Gala dinner, the CTICC venues are available till 23h00.
