FOSS4G

I will be attending FOSS4G 2007 and look forward to seeing you there. Here is my rough schedule of events, more of a todo list for than for anyone else. But if you are looking for me it may help you find me :)

• Sunday - Board Meeting
  • Check workshop lab if available
• Monday
  • Morning - helping with FOSS4G, preparing for other tasks
  • Lunch - set up FOSS4G2007 OSGeo Booth - YOU CAN HELP - sign up here
  • 13h-16h - MapServer 101 Workshop with Jeff McKenna and Perry Nacionales
  • 16h30-18h - late afternoon - Lead OSGeo Annual General Meeting - YOU CAN HELP - come, listen and share
  • 18h-22h - social event at Sticky Wicket Clubhouse
• Tuesday
  • Morning before 9 - set up Internet Cafe at OSGeo Booth - YOU CAN HELP
  • Morning - posting BoF sessions
  • Morning plenary - give short welcome talk from OSGeo
  • Afternoon - at OSGeo Booth and other conference tasks - YOU CAN HELP work at the booth
  • 16h45 to 19h00 - BoF sessions - post signs?
• Wednesday
  • OSGeo Booth most of day, plus other conference tasks
  • 09h-11h - Autodesk open house at their booth, good time for interviews
  • BoF - this is a backup BoF time
  • 18h-22h - Banquet - give brief welcome before IMAX viewing
• Thursday
  • 10h30 - main OSGeo presentation
  • Mid-day at OSGeo Booth
  • Afternoon plenaries
  • Tear down OSGeo Booth - YOU CAN HELP - sign up here
  • 2008 Conference discussion meeting
• Friday - Code Sprint all day
• Saturday - open

Task List

The following are a summary of what is currently on my pile of things to be done. I will try to keep them in a sort of priority order, however, many of them are being done simultaneously.

• Currently working on publishing Journal_Volume_2
• Organising OSGeo Booth at FOSS4G2007 (more work when at event)
• Planning MapServer 101 Workshop at FOSS4G2007
• Helping organise BoFs at FOSS4G2007 (more work when at event)
• Preparing for two presentations at FOSS4G2007
• Organising OSGeo Annual General Meeting at FOSS4G2007 (almost done, more to do when at event)
• Working on todo list for US charitable tax status (US 501c3)
• Developing Fundraising ideas and strategy
• Helping develop Journal Volume 3
• Lots and lots of general communications with community and sponsors
• Helping on local committe for FOSS4G Event (mostly done but more to come )
• Helping track finances for OSGeo
• Helping plan board meetings and bringing up various topics for further discussion
