This page documents the current dicsussion and has not yet been approved as official OSGeo policy! Reality has taken over, so please populate and continue to develop this page as best you can. Holler at the board if you need anything
Local Chapters are operated in their correponding native language. As such they will be the starting point for many people and should therefore be officially sanctioned by the OSGeo board, based on Local Chapter Guidelines. At least one representative of the local chapter should be (must be) member of the OSGeo Foundation. This member will produce a monthly (weekly, quarternary) report in English language to the OSGeo board highlighting progress and potential difficulties.
